Watch "Reclaiming the Power of Personal Narrative"

I just came across this TEDx talk on Reclaiming the Power of Personal Narrative by Robert Tercek. I don't usually recommend things, but if you have connected to any of what I have written here about the decline of natural storytelling (and what I'm trying to do about it), watch this talk. It made my heart pound like a hammer, it was so like what I have been saying. The resonance is encouraging.

Great talk and, yes, very much aligned with what you have been writing about for years! You should reach out to him, I bet you have a lot to teach each other.

Great talk there Cynthia, which also helps me realise more about your passion in stories :) At the same time this guy is demonstrating one of the greatest misconceptions in using the word 'storytelling'. I need to phrase my thoughts about this but he brought me closer to the possibilikty of doing so.

Limor, thanks for the comment! My blog and book contain much more than anybody could ever want to read about my passion for stories ;) If I could talk fast and clearly like Mr. Tercek I would, but I write far better than I speak. For some the written word is home, for some the spoken. We do well when we respect our differences on that score. I am curious to hear about the misconception you mention and will look for it on your blog!
